'How difficult are your trips?' 'Do I have to be in good physical shape?' 'What if I can't keep up with the schedule?' These are questions we get quite often.
It seems many people still believe that embarking on an active vacation in Europe automatically means that they'll be doing some serious rock climbing or mountain biking. Not so.

All of our tours are specifically adapted to needs of people who aren't that familiar with active vacations. When partaking in one of our trips, you'll have more than enough time and energy left to relax, enjoy the environment and meet local people. In short: we offer active vacations anyone can enjoy.

1. Biking
At the top of each trip page, just below the title head, you'll find one or more asterisks (*). The number of asterisks indicates the degree of difficulty:

*  Easy: these are the easiest tours in which most stretches consist of flat terrain with distances averaging 45 km per day.

** Moderate: sloping landscapes alternating with flat terrain mark this route with distances averaging 45 km per day.

***  Tough: sloping landscapes dotted with steeper inclines, but not overwhelmingly so, encompass these 35 to 70 km per day tours.

The above route descriptions are general, with every cycle route being measured according to the factors that may be of influence, such as your amount of experience, the type of terrain, climate, etc.

In general, the selected tours are intended for recreational cyclists and are thus quite manageable. Although only a minimal amount of cycling experience is necessary, it is advised that you be in reasonably good shape before partaking on one of these tours.

The distances relayed are in kilometers since most of the countries where our tours take place utilize this unit of measurement.1 Kilometer = 0.6 miles.
