Insurance
We advise you to take out a good travel- and cancellation insurance. This can be arranged through us if stated upon booking. Since you are held liable for the rental bicycle, we highly recommend that your travel insurance covers theft and damage to the bicycle. Obtaining bicycle insurance for € 25 per bicycle is possible only with the use of Active in Europe’s hybrid bicycle and must be arranged with the booking of your tour. In this way, the risk of theft or damage is covered under the stipulated conditions.

1. Cancellation insurance
This insurance covers, only for journeys booked in the Netherlands, indemnification for:

* cancellation expenses;
* holiday days outstanding in case of premature termination or interruption;
* holiday days outstanding in case of delayed departure (up to a maximum of 3 days) due to, among other things:
* serious illness, accident or death affecting you, your travelling companions or relatives;
* extensive damage to property as a result of fire, storm, etc.

Premium: 5 % of the travel sum (excl. of 7% insurance tax) + premium fee of 5,- EUR

2. Travel insurance (maximum term of validity: 2 months)
This insurance covers, among other things:

* medical expenses in case of illness or accident, up to a max. of € 22.689,- (excess: € 45,40 per person)
* additional travelling and accommodation expenses in case of illness or accident: costing price
* additional return travel costs due to recall: costing price
* costs of repatriation by air ambulance: costing price
* search and rescue costs: costing price
* transport costs in case of death: costing price
* costs of acquiring a laissez-passer or replacement visa in case of loss: € 113,50
